Yesterday night
shakira performed for the second time (after the nordic music
awards) her "Don't Bother"! Shakira make her
appearance inside a car and then got outside starting her
performance!
Shakira also got the award for the Best Female, surprising her audience who probably tought she wouldn't have won! She said she didn't expect it and her surprised face when she heard Jon Legend say her name can confirm it! :D She didn't prepare any speech, she simply thank everyone for voting her and in the end she spoke portuguese.
Well... to everyone who voted for her: great job guys!!

3 weeks before the MTV Europe Music Awards, which will be in Lisbona next november, 3rd,
the number of the performer grews up: Shakira is one of them!
The colombian singer, who has already achived an international success with her spanish
album "Fijacion Oral Vol. 1", will be on the stage in Lisbona, performing for the very
first time her new single "Don't Bother". The song is the first single from her english
album, "Oral Fixation Vol. 2", which will be in stores on november, 28th.
It will be a great exclusive that Shakira will give to the Mtv Europe Music Awards
audience.

Some official news about Oral Fixation Vol. 2
|
As you all know, Don't Bother is
the first single of the new album and you'll be able to watch
the exclusive "Making The Video" on October, 27 (MTV
USA). The direction of the video will be by Jaume de Laiguana,
the same one for "No". The single cd will be in stores
few days later, on 4th November.
The album's tracks will be 10 unreleased songs, + 2 bonus
tracks: "Dia Especial" (english version) and
"Make Me Believe" (the english version of "En Tus
Pupilas").
The "suspected" duet with Santana is now a certainty:
the title of the song is "Illegal" and it could
possibly be released as the second single.

The album will be in stores on
28th or 29th november. Its sound will have more rock and
electronical influences than Fijacion Oral Vol. 1 and the main
themes will talk about social issues, rather than love. Shakira
had also co-worked with her usual "collegues", so
Lester Mendez and Luis F. Ochoa.

"No" reaches the number 1 spot!

Just after few weeks, the video "No" is on the top of the airplay on mtv usa! Something like that
has never happend before: a spanish video had overcome the superhit from Sean Paul - stealing him
the first position in the chart - just in the country where Black Music is the queen!

3 months after the Fijacion Oral Vol. 1 release Shakira is still in the high position of the charts, above all in one of the most important, the Billboard Chart.
Her album have been at the number one spot for 13 weeks int Latin chart of the most sold album in the USA. Moreover, she keeps on climbing the Hot Billboard 200, the chart of the most sold album in the Usa and this week she reached the number 36, a record for a spanish album. Even if we can't forgert her debut in the 4th spot, a record result since it's the most sold spanish album during the first week of its release.
Shaky is not satisfied enough and she keeps on staying in the first position in the Hot Latin Tracks with "La Tortura", where she have been staying for 15 weeks. She also got success in the Billboard Hot 100, the chart of the most sold singles in the States, where she got the 24th position this week, the higer spot in history for a spanish song.

Big-hearted Latin star SHAKIRA is paying to have a brand new school built in her home town Barranquilla, Colombia.
The LAUNDRY SERVICE singer is so proud of her modest roots, she is determined to pour much-needed cash into the poverty-stricken area through her own charity, the Barefeet Foundation.

"MEXICO D.F. (Notimex).- The Colombian singer Shakira achieved a triple platinum disc in very little time, when she surpassed in Mexico sales of 300,000 copies of her album "Fijacion Oral".
At the moment, it`s being played at a national level the song "No", the second single from "Fijacion Oral", informed her record label.
Besides the good notices that she`s recieved for the high sales of her album in Spanish, Shakira is giving the finishing touches to her second album "Oral Fixation Volume 2", in which will be completely in English and will be released in November of this year.

We report here an
article about a rumored tracklist of Oral Fixation Vol. 2, in
stores in november.
"Shakira will launch next
November 15 her new album “Oral Fixation”, with all the
songs in English, was written at the same time that the work in
Spanish “Fijacion Oral”. "Oral Fixation" also
counts with great collaborations, if in the album in Spanish,
they were Alexander Sanz and Gustavo Cerati, now they are The
Black Eyed Peas in "Kiss Your Lips" and Carlos Santana
in "Focused On Us".
The first single is "The Wild
Ones" and will be launched at the end of
October. The track ”Caution” is a kind of “La Tortura” in
English.
To also emphasize, the dangerous adventure of Shakira with the adaptation of
grungé song that made Kurt Cobain and his group Nirvana world-wide famous,
"Smell Like Teen Spirit".

in spanish! It happened yesterday night, when Shakira warmed up Miami with a unfogettable
performance and a really hot intro! Everything together, for the second time after the
performance in Madrid, with her "mate" Alejandro Sanz (who shows a new look for the
event!)

The successful performance, as the screams of the public and the comments of P. Diddy
confirmed, offset the awards she didn't manage to win, in spite of her 3 nominees (Best
